1. Who is responsible
This privacy policy describes how DinLinks processes personal data in the service.
DinLinks is operated by Ahmed Hasan, who is the controller for the processing described in this privacy policy. Questions about privacy and requests regarding your rights can be sent to privacy@dinlinks.com.
2. What information we process
We process these categories of information:
- •Account information, such as name and email address
- •Information related to sign-in and account security
- •The business profile the owner fills in
- •Enquiries you send us by email
- •Technical information generated when using the service, such as IP address and browser information, where relevant for operation and security
- •Subscription and payment related information, only if payment functionality is actually used
3. Why we process it, and legal basis
The purpose determines which legal basis applies:
- •Creating and operating your account, giving access to the business profile and delivering the functionality you ask for. Basis: contract, GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
- •Keeping the platform secure, preventing abuse and fraud, keeping the service reliable and answering ordinary enquiries. Basis: legitimate interests, GDPR Article 6(1)(f). The interest is keeping the service safe and running for everyone who uses it.
- •Meeting obligations that follow from law, where the processing is necessary for that. Basis: legal obligation, GDPR Article 6(1)(c).
- •Where we ask you to consent to something specific, consent is the basis for that processing only. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
4. Sharing and service providers
DinLinks does not sell personal data. To operate the service we use providers in these categories:
- •Hosting and infrastructure
- •Database and storage
- •Email and handling of enquiries
- •Payment provider, if payment functionality is used
- •Public authorities or advisers, where we are required to disclose information
Providers receive only the information necessary for the task they carry out.
5. Transfers outside Norway and the EEA
Some of our providers may process information outside Norway and the EEA. Where that happens, the transfer relies on a valid transfer mechanism under the GDPR, for example an adequacy decision or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as it is necessary for the purpose it was collected for:
- •Account and profile data: while the account is active, and afterwards only where necessary for legitimate or legal reasons
- •Enquiries: as long as necessary to handle and document the enquiry
- •Technical and security data: for a limited period necessary for operation, troubleshooting and security
- •Information we are required to keep: for the period the law requires
When information is no longer necessary it is deleted or anonymised, unless retention is required by law.
7. Cookies and similar technology
DinLinks uses technology that is necessary for the service to work, including for:
- •Sign-in and keeping you signed in
- •Security
- •Essential preferences such as language
DinLinks does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across websites for marketing.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- •Access the information we process about you
- •Have incorrect information corrected
- •Have information deleted
- •Request restriction of the processing
- •Receive the information in a machine-readable format, where the right to data portability applies
- •Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- •Withdraw consent, where consent is the basis
Requests can be sent to privacy@dinlinks.com. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, if you believe the processing breaches the rules.
9. Automated decisions
DinLinks does not make decisions about you that are based solely on automated processing and that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects. Business profiles are reviewed by a person before publication.
10. Security
DinLinks uses appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect information. If you suspect a security issue, you can report it to security@dinlinks.com.
